Gary J. Vincent is a lifelong professional in the music business. He is an entertainer, record producer, film producer, musician, recording engineer, and songwriter. His songs are filled with keen insights, passion, and wit. They have been recorded by Mickey Gilley, Leon Redbone, John Anderson, The Crickets, Gary Morris, Tompall Glaser, Chris LeDoux, and many others. As an entertainer, Gary has a unique way of connecting with his audiences. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette once wrote “Gary Vincent throws a party every time he goes on stage.” A performance by Gary J. Vincent is one to remember.
As a film producer he created a series called “Down to the Crossroads” a joint venture with Hollywood actor, Morgan Freeman. Volume One of the series was nominated for a Blues Music Award. Gary and his wife, Carol, are the owners of “The Clarksdale Soundstage”, an eclectic recording studio and soundstage located in Clarksdale, Mississippi. His work as a producer has been three times nominated for Grammys. Two with Charlie Musslewhite for the"Juke Joint Chapel" and “Mississippi Son” CD’s, the other for a co-production with Elvin Bishop for a tune on Elvin's "The Blues Rolls On" CD. After taking a break from performing to pursue other music and film interests, Gary recently realized that he missed sharing his music with live audiences. Armed with a number of great new songs, he is enjoying touring again.
“Gary Vincent is a sensational showman, and a great songwriter.”
Gary Vincent is a solid songwriter, musician, entertainer and producer of film/video and music. That’s a lot of hats, but he’s great at all of them. His lyrics can make you bust out laughing or cause you to stop and reflect. He knows how to engage an audience and make them feel like he’s personally singing right to them or laughing along with them. I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Gary many times and it’s always a treat because he’s so doggone good at everything he does including getting the best out of you and your music in the studio.

I have known Gary Vincent for over 30 years. The most exciting time of year for us at Moondog's is when we get the call that Gary is returning "Home" to bless us with a show!!! A show of Gary's means a PARTY! He takes the stage and holds the audience in the palm of his hand with his whimsical tunes and outstanding wit. in fact, I am getting fired up writing this...Get up here and play Gary!!!...We love you!!!
Tony Wood Australia
I was fortunate to see Gary Vincent on his recent Australian tour several times, as well as hiring him for a house party for 100 friends here in Melbourne. Venues on Gary's tour ranged from large inner city venues to quaint country gigs. Despite Gary not having a high profile in Australia, the word quickly spread about this amazing singer/songwriter from Clarksdale MS via Nashville who had spent decades writing lyrics & music for some of “Americana’s”, as it’s now known, biggest names. Gary’s songs range from the heartfelt, to life on the road, to robbing banks in the Netherlands. Gary’s guitar playing is superb, perfectly & subtlety suited to whichever one of his original gems he is playing . Gary is generous with his time & establishes a magnificent rapport with his audience. Often, Gary will tell you the basis of his songs .One he wrote while in Australia was “Aunty Matilda, The Meat Raffle Queen”. Gary hadn’t witnessed the traditional Friday night meat raffle at Sports Clubs & was quite taken with the event & inspired to pen a song that captures the Meat Raffle in all its glory!! Hopefully, Gary will be back in Australia in the very near future!! Tony Wood firstname.lastname@example.org
